Man Kills Ex-Girlfriend, 2 Others Before Suicide

A man, apparently disgruntled over a breakup, shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, her mother and 7-year-old brother before committing suicide, authorities said in Castroville.
Eric W. Jacobs, 27, also wounded two other members of the ex-girlfriend’s family, authorities said.
“I’ve been with the department 15 years and lived here since 1970, and I can’t remember anything like this,” said Police Chief R.L. McVay. “It’s just horrifying and shocking.”
