Passenger Train Hits Truck; 4 Killed

An Amtrak passenger train traveling from New Orleans to Chicago hit a pickup on the tracks northeast of Baton Rouge, killing a man and three children, police said.
Chris Crowe, 31, was driving with his 6-year-old daughter, 8-year-old son and his fiance’s 12-year-old daughter when the crash occurred in Roseland.
The crossing has stop signs but no traffic signals, police said. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
