A motorist who pointed a pistol Wednesday night at a couple in another vehicle on the eastbound Foothill Freeway in Pasadena was arrested after police traced his license plate number, authorities said.
The suspect, Roy Wasson, 58, of Duarte, allegedly became enraged at the driver of the second vehicle and pulled up beside the car and pointed a .22-caliber pistol at a couple inside, according to the California Highway Patrol. The couple wrote down the license plate and reported the incident to police.
Authorities recovered a handgun at Wasson’s residence and booked him on suspicion of brandishing a handgun, illegal possession of a handgun and having a concealed weapon.
