Edgar Haber, 93; Golf Enthusiast Once Owned Quail Lodge

Edgar Haber, 93, a golf enthusiast who was one of the developers of the posh Quail Lodge in Monterey County, died Monday of natural causes at his home in Carmel Valley.
Eventually the sole owner of the lodge, which was originally known as the Carmel Valley Golf and Country Club, Haber sold the enterprise in 1997 but remained active in the Carmel Valley community, where he had lived since 1947.
