Jury Seated in Fraud Trial of Ex-Governor

A jury was chosen in Chicago for former Gov. George Ryan’s racketeering and fraud trial, and lawyers got ready for opening statements today.
The 12 members and six alternates were selected from a pool of potential jurors in a process that took six days. Ryan, 71, is charged with racketeering conspiracy, mail fraud, lying to FBI agents and tax fraud.
