Update -- Though they’ve struggled against the Kings, the Stars were on an 11-2 run entering Friday night’s game against the Ducks, and clinched a playoff spot with the shootout loss. The Kings, their playoff hopes faint after losing seven of nine games, are hopeful that offense-minded Pavol Demitra (concussion) returns to action tonight.
