Crown Media CEO Resigns; Loss Narrows

Crown Media Holdings Inc., which runs the Hallmark Channel cable television network, said Chief Executive David Evans was resigning effective June 16, about three months before his contract ends.
Chief Operating Officer Paul FitzPatrick will serve as interim CEO until a replacement for Evans is found, Studio City-based Crown Media said in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
Separately, the company said its first-quarter loss narrowed to $47.2 million. Sales rose 11% to $45 million.
Shares of Crown Media fell 14 cents to $3.81.
