Religious extremes on all sides

Was it merely a coincidence, or The Times’ attempt at irony, that on the same page in Monday’s paper there was an article about U.S. government efforts to implore Muslim youth to reject extremism and an article about a Texas company refusing to take gay customers because of the owner’s Christian beliefs?
Perhaps we should look in the mirror before we cast stones.
