Woman Is Fatally Shot by Son, Police Say

A woman was shot and killed by her son early Sunday morning, police said.
Detectives did not release the names or ages of the suspect or the victim, Officer Sara Faden said.
The woman was shot in the torso at 3:44 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Broadway and died later at a local hospital.
The LAPD’s 77th Street Division, which covers much of South Los Angeles, had five homicides between Friday night and Sunday morning.
