The cost of using the Riverside Freeway’s Express Lanes during peak hours rose 75 cents Monday.
The toll, which last rose in February 2006, is $9.25 from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays and from 3 to 4 p.m. Fridays.
The Orange County Transportation Authority’s policy is to raise prices when it tracks 3,200 or more cars in one direction during the same hour in any six of 12 consecutive weeks.
Riverside County transportation officials recently earmarked about $2 billion to ease traffic by adding two toll lanes and a regular lane in each direction between the Orange County line and Interstate 15.
