Chilean sound can be had in the U.S.

REGARDING Agustin Gurza’s article on the resurgence of Chile’s musical heritage [“The New Song of Santiago,” Dec. 31], it may be of interest that the musical artist and bilingual educator Suni Paz, one of the proponents of New Song from that era, has been living and performing in the U.S. for many years.
Suni Paz’s music has been recorded and catalogued by the Smithsonian Institute through its Folkways label and includes the recent “Bandera Mia,” a tribute to the pan-Latin American folk revival. Interested listeners can go to www.folkways.si.edu and search for Suni Paz, where they will find her in stellar company.
