Insistence on impeachment

Re “House impugnment hearing,” July 26
Thank you for running an article on the House Judiciary Committee hearing on “executive power and its constitutional limitations.”
With a strong majority of Americans not approving of President Bush, it is refreshing to see that the majority gets a story that reassures our faith in Congress. If every representative took lessons from Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-Ohio), we wouldn’t be in the trouble we are in now.
The country wants a change; so does the world. Those 215,000 Germans said it with their feet. We should ask Congress for impeachment now.
What would we lose by doing this now? Some good jokes on “The Tonight Show”? Are you listening, Nancy Pelosi?
