Re “You in back, yes you, the half-lynx,” Column One, May 10

Have we really reached a point in our society at which there is no sense of professionalism?

I find it truly mind-boggling that people are willing to share their private fantasy lives -- for that’s what these Second Life characters are -- with their co-workers in a professional setting. I would not care to know whether one of my colleagues fantasized about being a “half-lynx.” When did the boundary between professional life and private life evaporate completely? Were I obliged to take part in one of these Second Life conferences, my persona would have to be “Too Much Information Woman” or, better yet, “None of Your Business Woman.”
