Military deaths

The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq:
Anthony C. Campbell Jr., 35, of Florence, Ky.; technical sergeant, Air Force Reserve. A bomb disposal technician, Campbell was killed Tuesday in the detonation of an improvised explosive device in southern Afghanistan’s Helmand province, on the Pakistani border. A Cincinnati police officer, he was assigned to the 932nd Civil Engineer Squadron at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
Jaiciae L. Pauley, 29, of Austell, Ga.; private first class, Army. Pauley died of noncombat-related injuries Dec. 11 in Kirkuk, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.
Jhanner A. Tello, 29, of Los Angeles; private, Army. Tello died of noncombat-related injuries Dec. 10 in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Aviation Support Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.
