Hollywood Backlot: David Strickland tails the tails
- Share via
Cute? Check. Fuzzy? Check. Maybe even ferocious? Sure, if that’s what you need. But can they emote? Over the years, Hollywood photographer David Strick has captured capering canines and other four-legged divas backstage and while filming scenes, stunts and green-screen effects like this puppet stand-in with a very big bone on the set of “Hotel for Dogs,” which opens later this month. With the help of some two-legged friends, including Emma Roberts (daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece to Julia), “Hotel” finds a pack of pups lounging in four-star accommodations, until the neighbors get wise. Strick also pointed his lens at animals -- real and fake -- on the set of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and other TV shows and films.
