Angels play the Rangers in Texas from Monday through Wednesday

Monday through Wednesday: Rangers at Arlington, Texas
Thursday through July 5: Orioles at Angel Stadium
Vladimir Guerrero was on the disabled list when the Angels visited Texas last month, but he’ll be back in a favorite ballpark. Guerrero, who once hit in 44 straight games against the Rangers, is a .387 hitter at the Ballpark in Arlington. The Rangers surely have noticed that Guerrero is eligible for free agency this fall. So is John Lackey, who grew up in the area, but his record in Texas would not encourage the Rangers to throw millions at him. In 15 starts in Arlington, Lackey is 5-5 with a 6.12 earned-run average. He isn’t scheduled to start in this series, but Joe Saunders is. He has lost all four of his starts in Arlington, with a 10.29 ERA.
