Maui, Tahiti or both?

Tahiti sound appealing this summer? How about Tuscany? Family vacation options range far and near, including Anaheim. Many deals let kids stay free or provide an extra day or two of lodging. Below is a sampling of recent offers. Note that many have limited availability or other restrictions.

Free nights, free meals at a Maui resort: Napili Kai Beach Resort, on 10 beachfront acres on Maui’s Napili Bay, has been offering a fifth night free after a stay of four nights in an ocean-view studio; rates start at $335 per night. The special, called the Economic Stimulus Package, is for stays June 13 through Aug. 15.

The deluxe resort also has a children-eat-free program that offers kids age 12 and younger a free entree when accompanied by an adult who purchases an adult entree

One of the packages (not including airfare) features four nights at the Palazzo Ricasoli apartments in Florence, seven nights in the countryside at the more rustic Principe del Trasimeno apartments on Lake Trasimeno in Tuscany, and a seven-day car rental. The price, for a family of four, starts at $2,559, or $639.75 per person, from July 13 to Aug. 31.
