Three people were killed and another injured in a car crash in South Los Angeles.
A Nissan Sentra carrying two men and a woman was traveling south on Main Street about 8 a.m. Sunday when it collided with an eastbound Chevy Lumina at the intersection of Gage Avenue, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Kevin Custard.
The occupants of the Nissan -- a 48-year-old male, a 44-year-old female and an 18-year-old male -- were taken to local hospitals, where they later died, Custard said.
The driver of the Chevy, a female in her 20s, was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
“There’s no indication of DUI at this point,” Custard said.
“We’re still investigating as to what would have caused the collision or why both vehicles were in the intersection at the same time.”
