SAN FRANCISCO — Rich Aurilia drove in Steve Holm with a 10th-inning single to end a pitching-dominated afternoon with the San Francisco Giants’ ninth victory in 12 games, 1-0 over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.
Barry Zito gave up two hits over seven innings, retiring 15 consecutive Rockies and allowing only one runner to reach second base.
Jason Hammel matched Zito with six scoreless innings in only his second start for the Rockies.
Holm drew a leadoff walk from Manuel Corpas (0-2), Randy Winn sacrificed him to second base and Aurilia drove him in with a single to left-center field.
The third game-ending hit in Aurilia’s 14-year career helped the Giants take two of three from the Rockies.
