at No. 2 Stanford 77, USC 39: The Cardinal (21-1, 11-0 Pac-10) won its 42nd straight game at home, and Jayne Appel became the school’s all-time rebounding leader. Jackie Gemelos led the Trojans (13-9, 7-4) with 13 points. USC scored 10 points in the first half, the lowest-scoring half in team history.
