THE BEST WAY TO OCEANSIDE
From Los Angeles, take Interstate 405 or Interstate 5 south to Oceanside, about 85 miles from downtown. By rail, Amtrak and Metrolink trains stop at the Oceanside Transit Center. From Union Station, the Metrolink fare costs $14.50 one way; the Amtrak fare costs $23 one way.
