Lucy Santana’s 20-plus years of leadership at Girls Inc. of Orange County have driven transformative programs for 4,500-plus economically disadvantaged girls annually. Her efforts secured $10 million from Melinda French Gates’ Pivotal Ventures’ Equality Can’t Wait Challenge for Project Accelerate, addressing workplace equity for women of color. As program co-creator, Santana tackles workplace inequality head-on. Under her guidance, Girls Inc. OC flourished, offering mentorship, externship, and college programs with key partnerships. She is an active community participant, engaging with groups like WIL, OneOC Non-Profit Advisory Council, and more. Santana also co-chairs ACT Anaheim and served on the boards of Relampago del Cielo, MANA de Orange County, and Girls Inc. National. With a bachelor’s from Cal State University, Fullerton, she is an influential advocate for empowering girls and women.
