Richard Blackwell estate sells for $1.8 million

The estate of Richard Blackwell, a former designer and fashion critic known for his often-controversial worst-dressed lists, and his partner, Robert Spencer, has sold in Windsor Square for $1.8 million.
Built in 1920, the Mediterranean-style house sits on a quarter of an acre with a guesthouse, a swimming pool and a pool house. Features include a parquet floor entry, stained-glass windows and a music room. There are four bedrooms, 31/2 bathrooms and about 3,600 square feet of living space.
Mr. Blackwell, as he was known for his fashion critiques, died in 2008 at 86.
The property came on the market in June at $2 million and last changed hands in 1977 for $171,000, according to public records.
Judi Fogelman and Lisa Chorna of Coldwell Banker’s Beverly Hills North office were the listing agents. Jeffrey Sachs of the same office represented the buyer.
