Actress Lauren German sells to ‘The Fosters’ creator Bradley Bredeweg in Valley Village

Bradley Bredeweg, who’s known for co-creating and writing the drama series “The Fosters,” has paid $1.72 million for a ranch-style home in Valley Village owned by actress Lauren German.
The final sale was around $30,000 less than the original price tag, records show. It was made available for lease soon after German bought the place three years ago for $1.512 million.
The 2,445 square feet of living space includes a chandelier-topped living room, a dining room and an updated country kitchen with Carrara marble countertops. A skylight brightens the family room.
Three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an office space boasting black-and-white checkered floors and built-ins complete the floor plan.
Outside, two covered brick patios flank a swimming pool and spa.
Joan Duffy of Pacific Union International held the listing. Anita Motz of Compass represented the buyer.
Beyond “The Fosters,” Bredeweg has producer and writer credits on “Fly Girls,” a 2010 reality show that profiled the lives of five Virgin America flight attendants. He also co-wrote and directed an apocalyptic musical parody of “The Breakfast Club,” fittingly titled “The Last Breakfast Club.”
German, 39, stars on the Fox series “Lucifer” and has appeared regularly in “Hawaii Five-0” and “Chicago Fire.” Her film credits include “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2003) and “Hostile: Part II” (2007).
