Rhonda Byrne, who produced and wrote the video documentary “The Secret” and the book of the same name, has her estate in Montecito for sale at $18.8 million.
Called Prima Luce, for first light, the 2.5 acre compound takes in views of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Channel Islands.
Built in 2001, the residence has climbing vines, wrought iron details and stonework that underscore its Old World Italian style.
Beyond an 11-foot-tall arched entry door of glass and iron is a lofty foyer with a coffered alder ceiling. Hand-painted walls and locally quarried sandstone are other details within the 9,939 square feet of living space, which includes six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
A one-bedroom guesthouse, a 65-foot-long swimming pool, a cabana with a kitchen and bathroom, a two-story children’s play house, a creek, lily ponds and oak forest complete the grounds.
Byrne’s other titles include “The Power,” “The Magic” and “The Hero.”
Riskin Partners, Village Properties, is the listing agent.
