Retired hockey star Sergei Fedorov has sold a a Miami Beach, Fla., penthouse he once shared with tennis star Anna Kournikova for $11 million. That’s a solid return for the three-time Stanley Cup champion, who bought the unit nearly two decades ago for $2.275 million.
Found within the 44-story Portofino Tower, the unit has 5,680 square feet across three floors and features a private elevator, 19-foot ceilings and a rooftop swimming pool.
A marble-lined foyer, formal living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen with contemporary cabinetry, four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms are among the living spaces. A step-up master suite sports a spa-like bathroom complete with a rain shower and soaking tub.
Atop the penthouse, a rooftop terrace takes in panoramic views of the ocean and the Miami skyline.
The Russian-born Fedorov, 46, played 18 seasons in the NHL for the Detroit Red Wings, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals, making six all-star teams. He was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in November.
The DS team, Dina Goldentayer and Sladja Stantic of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, represented a trust controlled by Fedorov. Marija Kuzina of Miami Luxury RE LLC repped the buyer.
