Comic actor Cheech Marin has sold his home in Malibu for $5.34 million.
The bluff-top, stone-clad Craftsman-style house sits on nearly an acre above the beach with patios, a built-in stone table and oven, and steps leading to the sand. Interior features include stained-glass windows, an arched wood entry door and vaulted beamed ceilings. A three-bedroom guesthouse includes a detached music room for a total of two fireplaces and 51/2 bathrooms.
Since he partnered with Tommy Chong in the ‘70s and ‘80s counterculture duo Cheech & Chong, the 65-year-old Marin has starred on “Nash Bridges” (1996-2001) and was a regular on “Judging Amy” (2004-05). This year he starred on the series “Rob” and “Rachel vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off.”
The property went on the market at the end of May priced at $5.995 million.
Irene Dazzan-Palmer and Sandro Dazzan of Coldwell Banker in Malibu Colony were the listing agents. Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker’s Malibu West office represented the buyer.
