Based on the crushing crowds and deafening squeals from the legions of twi-hards in line, it was obvious that “New Moon” would be banking high box office returns this week. Movie insiders have now confirmed that the Twilight sequel has done more than that -- it has reportedly beat the record that “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” set this summer, with more than $22.2 million worth in ticket sales. Controversial R&B singer Chris Brown launched into a tirade via Twitter regarding his new albums availability, or lack thereof, and then up and disabled the account. Quitting Twitter seems to be the trendy thing to do these days, and maybe he was disappointed when he didnt see an immediate spike in album sales, but we have to wonder if there isnt a more productive way to promote your new album, like say, a old-fashioned press junket?
