The pop-metal musician Andrew W.K. might be best known for wearing filthy white jeans and posing for album covers with his nose gushing blood, but theatrics aside, he is actually a fantastic player and arranger, long schooled in avant-garde noise and composition circles. His ambition has always been to create euphoria in whatever musical setting he chooses, and after stints touring with the chamber group Calder Quartet and a TV advice show, here he reprises the 10th anniversary of his landmark album of power-chord odes to partying, “I Get Wet.” Avalon, 1735 Vine St., L.A. 7 p.m. Thu. $22.50. avalonhollywood.com.
