Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’: He’s going to headline Electric Daisy Carnival, isn’t he?

It’s official: Justin Bieber has gone EDM.
After much hype on social media, the pop singer released a song online Friday morning, one that deepens the flirtation with dance music he began this summer with “Where Are U Now,” his hit collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex.
The new single, “What Do You Mean?,” has a bouncy, tropical house vibe that strongly recalls two recent club tracks: Felix Jaehn’s remix of OMI’s “Cheerleader” and Robin Schulz’s remix of “Waves” by Mr. Probz.

In a statement, Bieber said that “What Do You Mean?” — the lead single from an album due out Nov. 13 — “is only the first step in the journey for me” and that he hopes his fans “are receptive to it and love it as much as I do.”
Bieber is expected to perform the song Sunday night at MTV’s Video Music Awards.
