Blindspot Jane and Weller (Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton) disappear during an undercover operation, sending the rest of the team — and Allison (Trieste Kelly Dunn), who’s expecting Weller’s child — into a panic. 8 p.m. NBC
Arrow Wil Traval guest stars as superhero Human Target, who’s enlisted by Oliver (Stephen Amell) when a Team Arrow member falls into the clutches of Tobias Church (Chad L. Coleman). Tyler Ritter, the son of John Ritter, also guest stars. 8 p.m. KTLA
Lethal Weapon The investigation into the murder of a young model is linked to a wealthy family and Riggs (Clayne Crawford, who also stars on “Rectify”) uncovers a connection to an old friend. Damon Wayans also stars. 8 p.m. Fox
Nature The first of two installments of “The Story of Cats” documents the rise of felines on the Asian content and their spread to Africa. (The conclusion airs next week). 8 p.m. KOCE and KPBS
Criminal Minds Jill Whelan (“The Love Boat”) guest stars as the principal of a high school where two students are the only survivors after their families are attacked. Joe Mantegna stars. 9 p.m. CBS
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Wyclef Jean guest stars as a recording mogul suspected of complicity in an attack on a transgender student. Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino and Raul Esparza also star. 9 p.m. NBC
Frequency Raimy (Peyton List) recalls her first days at the police department when Frank (Riley Smith) helps her from the past with a case in the present. Mekhi Phifer, Lenny Jacobson and Daniel Bonjour also star. 9 p.m. KTLA
Empire Lucious and Andre (Terrence Howard, Trai Byers) are on alert as they fear Shine (Xzibit) will try to even the score for a bad business deal. Taraji P. Henson also stars. 9 p.m. Fox
NOVA A new, three-part “Treasures of the Earth” miniseries begins with “Gems,” focusing on the formation of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious jewels. 9 p.m. KOCE and KPBS
Worst Cooks in America In the season finale the last two celebrities face off for their ultimate challenge: cooking a restaurant-quality meal to suit the demanding palates of culinary experts Sarah Gore, Akhtar Nawab and Laura Vitale. Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray coach the contestants. 9 p.m. Food
Lip Sync Battle Lupita Nyong’o and Regina Hall compete. 9 p.m. Spike
Stan Against Evil When small-town Sheriff Miller (John C. McGinley) is forced into retirement, his replacement (Janet Varney) discovers the town is possessed by demons in this new comedy-horror series. Nate Mooney and Deborah Baker Jr. also star. 10 p.m. IFC
Rectify The story of a death-row inmate (Aden Young) released from prision, but not fully exonerated, returns for its fourth and final season. Abigail Spencer, Clayne Crawford (“Lethal Weapon”) and Adelaide Clemens also star. 10 p.m. Sundance
