The American Bible Challenge: In this new game show, contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible (5 and 8 p.m. Game Show Network). The premiere of “Beat the Chefs,” which amateur cooks against professional chefs follows at 6 and 9.

Saving Hope: After getting cold feet in the operating room, Joel (Daniel Gillies) accompanies Kinney (Wendy Crewson) on a trip to her hometown for a continuing education assignment, and a recently deceased therapist diagnoses Charlie’s (Michael Shanks) emotional issues in this new episode of the supernatural medical drama (9 p.m. NBC).

The Next: In Baltimore, Gloria sings in a contestant’s church choir, John visits a radio station with his contestant and Nelly helps a contestant work on technique (9 p.m. KTLA).

Open Call: The new episode “Quick Bites” features video shorts by Joe Mantegna that revolve around people sharing a meal together (9 p.m. KCET).

Burn Notice: The team travels to Panama to capture an assassin in the season finale (9 p.m. USA).

Extreme Chef: The chefs team up with the U.S. Coast Guard for an intense cooking adventure at sea in which they must prepare military MREs, rescue ingredients from a capsized boat and cook in a ship’s galley in this new episode (10 p.m. Food).

Suits: With the battle for control of Pearson Hardman nearing a critical point, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) needs Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) help more than ever, but he’s nowhere to be found in the season finale (10 p.m. USA).

MOVIES

An American in Paris: Songs by George and Ira Gershwin underscore this 1951 tale of an artist caught between two women in postwar Paris, but the thin story is merely a vehicle for director Vincente Minnelli and choreographer-dancer-actor Gene Kelly to dazzle viewers. Leslie Caron also stars (7 p.m. TCM).

Little League baseball: (1 and 5 p.m. ESPN).

Baseball: The Angels visit the Boston Red Sox (4 p.m. FSN).
