âColbert Reportâsâ âBuddy Coleâ helps Olympic athletes seem ânot gayâ

Russiaâs anti-gay laws have been a source of concern for many Americans heading into the Olympic Games, but Stephen Colbert appears to have the solution. On Tuesdayâs âColbert Report,â he sent âself-avowed manâs manâ Buddy Cole to meet with the U.S. menâs speed skating team to give them some tips on how to seem not gay.
We should mention that âBuddy Coleâ is actually former âKids in the Hallâ member Scott Thompson. The Buddy Cole character actually made his debut on âThe Kids in the Hallâ and Thompson himself once described the character as a âbutch queen.â
So what were Coleâs helpful tips for the speed skaters?
For Jordan Denton, who spent time growing up in Texas and France he cautioned, âMore Texas; less France.â
He suggested JR Celskiâs Justin Bieber-like haircut was âa little lesbianâ and counseled him that âchicks dig scars.â

And their tights? They âscreamed gay propaganda.â In order to make them less attractive, Buddy suggested adding fanny packs, dockers, sweaters and the âgay kryptoniteâ of Crocs.
Finally, finally, Buddy delighted in finally achieving the maximum heterosexuality. Hopefully those young men will be safe, thanks to Buddy Cole.
