POV Katie Dellamaggiore’s documentary “Brooklyn Castle” spotlights the chess team at a junior high school in Brooklyn that has won more than 30 national titles. Five students are featured, including 13-year-old Rochelle Ballantyne, who could become the first African-American female chess master in the game’s history. 10 p.m. KOCE
Dream School Fifteen high school drop outs receive a chance to get back into the education system in this new unscripted series. In the premiere, 50 Cent and David Arquette introduce the kids to their new school. 10 p.m. Sundance
The Blacklist In this new episode, the FBI searches for a high-ranking Chinese spy known (Chin Han), who has hired Red (James Spader). 10 p.m. NBC

Valentine Road In this new documentary, filmmaker Marta Cunningham revisits the case of 15-year-old Lawrence “Larry” King, a 15-year-old eighth-grader who had begun exploring his gender identity when he was fatally shot by classmate Brandon McInerney in 2008. 9 p.m. HBO
