Banned: Being a pet ‘owner’

Banned: Parking on many residential streets

All you want is to grab a sweet and creamy Spanish Latte at Urth Café, or a fro-yo from the world’s first Pinkberry, or a drink at the Abbey — but you’ll have to find parking first. You turn up a side street, and un-metered spots abound. But no, you can’t park there, or there, or there. You can’t park in any of them. Darned permit parking!  (Allen J. There are no ordinances or resolutions making it illegal to hang Sarah Palin in effigy. But when Chad Michael Morisette dressed a mannequin up as the Alaska governor and hung it by a noose in front of his West Hollywood house on Halloween, the mayor met with him privately and convinced him to take it down.  (Allen J.
