To the editor: I taught adolescents for 23 years. Contrary to the criticism by a former Republican congressional staffer of Sasha and Malia Obama’s appearance at the White House turkey pardoning last week, the president’s daughters looked charming — neither overdressed nor underdressed. (“Rule No. 1: Don’t bad-mouth Sasha and Malia Obama,” Dec. 1)
However, the comment by the ex-aide from Tennessee is typical of the lack of respect our duly elected president has received from Republicans. Whether this attitude is due to racism or desperate partisanship, it’s reprehensible.
Criticism of the president should be limited to his policies.
