Readers React: It’s too early to say Howard Schultz — or anyone else — shouldn’t run for president

To the editor: It’s a bit early to thin out the field of presidential contenders. Some of these folks may have something to say and a way to say it.
While I understand the realities at play in a third-party candidacy, I cringe that the political machine is operating per usual. Until more time passes (my God, we have nearly two years), discussions about who should and should not enter the fray feel manipulative and disingenuous. Perhaps this is part of the reason people feel so detached.
To those who do jump in, try providing us some answers and giving us some depth for a change, not just a litany of what’s wrong.
