Los Angeles (5-0) at Crenshaw (3-2), 7 p.m.: The defending City Section Division III champion Romans lobbied to be in the Coliseum League and now they get their chance. Coach Eric Scott, a Crenshaw graduate, hopes his team’s offensive line can provide time for quarterback Kaymen Cureton, who has passed for 1,329 yards and 13 touchdowns. Crenshaw is capable of scoring lots of points behind quarterback Daiyan Henley, running back Aundre Carter and receiver Marquis Lawson. The pick: Crenshaw.
La Puente Bishop Amat (5-1, 2-0) at Gardena Serra (5-1, 2-0), 7 p.m.: There will be lots of outstanding athletes on the field in this Mission League showdown. From Serra quarterback Khalil Tate to Bishop Amat receivers Tyler Vaughns and Trevon Sidney, there will be no lacking of star power. Bishop Amat’s big, powerful offensive line will be key. The pick: Bishop Amat.
