Baseball: Stony Brook players return to Southern California

The, “Welcome Home” signs are out for six college baseball players from Southern California who play for Stony Brook in New York. The school is in Southern California playing UC Riverside, USC and Cal State Northridge.
The players are Robert Chavarria (Marina), Jeremy Giles (Claremont), Chad Lee (Damien), Josh Mason (Crespi), Brandon McNitt (Bishop Amat) and Daniel Zamora (Bishop Amat).
Stony Brook plays USC on Tuesday and Cal State Northridge on Wednesday.
McNitt, a pitcher, struck out 10 in seven innings recently against Wake Forest. He’s studying to become a doctor.
