Football: Big nights for Burroughs’ Chance Bell, JSerra’s Matt Robinson

Thursday night football games produced some outstanding individual performances.
In a Pacific League opener, running back Chance Bell ran for six touchdowns in Burroughs’ 55-21 win over Hoover. He had TD runs of 73, 48, 43, 17, 12 and seven yards.
JSerra (4-1), tuning up for the Trinity League, picked up a 45-35 victory over Los Alamitos. Quarterback Matt Robinson passed for four touchdowns and also caught two TD passes from Riley O’Brien on trick plays. Dylan Laurent had an 82-yard touchdown run for Los Alamitos.
Santa Margarita (4-1) won its fourth consecutive game with a 44-14 win over Riverside King.
