Down, 14-0, in the first quarter of a game played with temperatures in the 90s, the Dorsey Dons started to wear down Hamilton and came away with a 33-14 victory over the defending City Section Division II champions at Hamilton.
It was the first game for new Coach Irvin Davis.
Dorsey’s rushing attack started to punish the Yankees, led by Parie Dedeaux, Devin Mangrum and Antone Williams.
The defense shut out Hamilton and star quarterback Armani Rogers after the first quarter.
Williams’ 45-yard touchdown run broke open the game in the second half.
