Football: Mission Viejo will be site for 2016 Honor Bowl

Mission Viejo High is taking over for Oceanside as the site for the Honor Bowl this fall in high school football.

Games will be played Sept. 1-2-3.

The schedule: Sept. 1, San Diego Cathedral Catholic vs. Modesto Central Catholic, 7:30 pm.

Sept. 2: Oaks Christian vs. Pennsylvania St. Joseph’s, 5 p.m.; Mission Viejo vs. Oak Hills, 8 p.m.

Sept. 3: Gardena Serra vs. New Jersey St. Joseph, noon; Clayton Valley vs. Helix, 4 p.m.; Corona Centennial vs. Florida IMG, 7:30 p.m.
