Right-hander Chris Young was put on the 15-day disabled list Saturday by the New York Mets, retroactive to Monday.

Bay is close to rejoining Mets
Outfielder Jason Bay, sidelined since late March because of a strained ribcage, might be ready to rejoin the Mets as early as Tuesday, Manager Terry Collins said.
Bay began a rehab assignment with Class-A St. Lucie on Saturday night.
Sizemore is about to rejoin Indians
Outfielder Grady Sizemore was back in Cleveland to run through a workout in front of the Indians’ training staff and it is possible that the center fielder will be activated from the 15-day disabled list within the next couple of days.
Sizemore has been sidelined since May 16 because of a left knee injury. He had microfracture surgery on the joint in June.
