Ducks face Kings at Staples Center

Ducks-Kings tonight

When: 7:30.

Where: Staples Center.

On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 830, 1150.

Records: Ducks 38-27-5, Kings 40-26-5.

Series: Kings lead, 2-1-0.

Update: This is the fourth of six meetings this season and the 100th overall. The Ducks lead the series, 43-36-20, but they are 19-25-6 on the road. Kings left wing Kyle Clifford didn’t practice Friday and won’t play Saturday. He suffered an unspecified upper-body injury in a first-period fight Thursday and did not return to the game. He will be replaced by Brad Richardson. Jonathan Quick will start in goal for the Kings, who are winless in their last three home games. The Ducks have won six of their last eight games. Coach Randy Carlyle never announces who will start in goal, but Ray Emery was superb in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues, stopping 30 shots in his first full game since hip surgery, bringing his goal-against average to a stingy 0.78. Dan Ellis, acquired before the trade deadline to fill in for the injured Jonas Hiller, has a 2.85 GAA.
