Kevin Durant gets Nike to donate apparel to Oklahoma tornado victims

Kevin Durant donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to go toward Oklahoma tornado relief, then went to Moore on Wednesday to meet with the people who were affected by the devastation, shake their hands, pose for photos and sign autographs.
A day later, Durant went even further.
On Thursday, he contacted Nike and asked the shoe giant to lend a helping hand.

Nike responded by agreeing to donate $1 million worth of products and apparel to the victims of the tornado.
In addition, the company said that profits from Durant’s signature shoe, the Oklahoma City KD V Elites, sold on Nike.com between May 23 and June 15, will go toward Oklahoma relief efforts.
Durant’s generosity has already inspired the Thunder to match his million-dollar donation and the NBA and the National Basketball Players Assn. to combine for the same contribution.
