Kobe Bryant walking without pain, still not ready to return
- Share via
Kobe Bryant will miss his fourth consecutive game but is walking without pain in his sore left shin.
He will now begin running again, and if he is free of pain after that, he will start jumping. If there is no discomfort at that point, he will be cleared to return.
The Lakers are 2-1 without Bryant heading into tonight’s game against Denver.
There’s no timetable for his return, and there’s a slim chance he will miss the rest of the regular season, though that is considered a longshot.
The Lakers have six more regular-season games after tonight.
Bryant is averaging a league-leading 28.1 points as well as 38.5 minutes a game, fourth highest in the NBA.
