Clippers power forward Blake Griffin was named Western Conference player of the week for games played Nov. 24 through Sunday, the NBA announced Monday.
Griffin averaged 23.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and five assists through the team’s four road wins that week. The Clippers were on a seven-game trip, during which they finished with a franchise-best six wins.
In the team’s win on Nov. 24 against the Charlotte Hornets, Griffin nearly had a triple-double, with 22 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists. He is the only player this season averaging at least 22 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
This marks the fifth time in Griffin’s career that he was named Western Conference player of the week.
After their 12-day trip, the Clippers have returned home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday at Staples at 7:30 p.m.
