USC Coach Clay Helton made an in-home visit to Glendora High quarterback Matt Fink on Tuesday.
“Great having @USCCoachHelton at the house tonight! Couldn’t be happier to be a Trojan! #FightOn,” Fink wrote on Twitter.
The NCAA contact period began Nov. 29.
Fink, 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, made a verbal commitment to USC in May, and there’s a possibility that he could enroll in January.
The 2016 recruit is scheduled to make an official visit to USC this weekend, along with fellow commits Michael Pittman from Oaks Christian, C.J. Pollard from Gardena Serra, Nathan Smith from Mesa and Liam Jimmons from Huntington Beach.
Serra defensive lineman Oluwole Betiku, who is uncommitted, also is scheduled to visit.
Fink completed 86 of 163 passes for 1,255 yards and 15 touchdowns, with four interceptions, in 13 games this season.
He also rushed for 973 yards and 16 touchdowns in 160 carries.
