Huge markdowns at Minotti’s L.A. warehouse

Minotti, the high-end contemporary Italian showroom, is starting 2009 with serious discounts. Items stocked in the company’s local warehouse have been reduced 40% to 60% through Jan. 31. The Pollock double chaises, which stand on polished nickel feet and are shown here pushed together to create a sofa nearly 9 feet long, are reduced to $3,589 per unit, a savings of $2,392. Marked down 20%: special orders from Italy, including the chromed steel and smoke glass Caulfield table (reduced to $2,193) and the 9-foot-square black goatskin rug (now $5,940), also shown here; they require 12 to 14 weeks for delivery.
