Let Ken Burns explain Chicago’s history on this tour

Get an in-depth look at the Windy City’s history and culture in a special event that focuses on themes from three of Ken Burns’ series: “Prohibition,” “Jazz” and “Frank Lloyd Wright.”
The five-day tour, presented by Burns and Tauck tour company, offers a look at the years 1871 to 1933, a pivotal era that shaped Chicago’s culture, politics and social fabric.
Participants will visit Prohibition-era sites, attend a lecture by “Get Capone” author Jonathan Eig, tour Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio in Oak Park, and taste period cocktails during a Prohibition Repeal Celebration.
Burns will give the event’s keynote presentation at the circa-1921 Chicago Theatre, with the opportunity to meet him afterward during a private reception.
Dates: Sept. 19-23.
Price: $4,690 per person, double occupancy; single supplement $736. Includes guided daily sightseeing excursions, evening receptions and special lectures, accommodations, most meals, ground transportation and gratuities. Airfare to and from Chicago is not included.
